The temperature outside might be dipping due to winter, but things are heating up in state politics. The accusations of rape against Maharashtra Minister Dhananjay Munde and NCB’s action against NCP leader and Minister Nawab Mailk’s son-in-law has led to a fresh blow to the state government. While the NCP chief has termed the allegation against Munde serious, he said that there were no allegations against Malik. Sameer Khan, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drug case, has been sent to NCB custody till January 18. Meanwhile, Mumbai reported 607 new COVID-19 cases and nine fresh fatalities on Thursday, while 789 people recovered from the infection. Mumbai has 7,332 active cases at present.
