Mumbai city and adjoining Thane, Kalyan, Dombivali, Palghar, Raigad regions have been receiving rains since Monday morning.
There has also been a dip in temperatures with smog shrouding parts of the city leading to decreased visibility.
KS Hosalikar, Head, Regional Meteorological Center said, “Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai received light rains in the last six hours at most places as seen from rainfall monitoring networks with yellow and green spots.
Whereas, in the last 3-4 hours, Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Palghar Raigad received moderate rains
“Cloudy sky over Mumbai and around, expected to open up in later part of the day,” he added.

Hosalikar said that the movement of clouds is towards the coast along with intensification as seen from Radar.
According to the IMD forecast, it will be cloudy with thunderstorms with the minimum temperature at 22 degrees celsius for the next 48 hours.
