MUMBAI: A 78-year-old dermatologist was arersted for allegedly touching a 48-year-old woman patient inappropriately and kissing her in his clinic. The Gamdevi police booked him on charges of molestation and outraging the modesty of a woman. He was granted bail by a court on Wednesday.
The police said that on Friday they received a complaint from a woman who said that she had visited the dermatologist in August after she found an allergy on her forehead. This is when the dermatologist touched her inappropriately, gave her medicines and asked her to come after two weeks. When she visited next time, the accused touched her inappropriately again, she said.
On Friday, the woman again visited the doctor again. This time, her two sons were with her. She took one of them to the clinic, while the other was sitting in the car. She said the dermatologist locked the room from inside, touched her inappropriately, and kissed her. The woman told the police that she pushed him and ran out. She then informed her husband about the incident and lodged the complaint with the police.
The accused doctor has been arrested earlier by the L T Marg police in 2015 for a similar offence.
