Poonam Pandey occupied the top spot on the trends list after her husband Sam Bombay was arrested in Goa on Tuesday based on her complaint against him. It’s been slightly less than two weeks since Poonam married Sam in a private ceremony on September 10. Days after her wedding, she filed a complaint against Sam Bombay in which she claimed that she was assaulted, threatened and molested by him. Sam Bombay was arrested soon after.

WHO IS SAM BOMBAY?

Born on January 27, 1984, in Dubai, Sam Ahmed Bombay belongs to the Hindi film fraternity and is a director, producer and editor. It was his passion since childhood to venture into filmmaking.

EDUCATION AND SCHOOLING

Sam Bombay completed his schooling from the Jebel Ali School in Dubai. He graduated from the University of Dubai. Currently, Sam lives in Mumbai.

FIRST MARRIAGE

Before Poonam Pandey, Sam Bombay was married to model Elle Ahmed. With Elle, Sam has two children – son Troy Bombay and daughter Tia Bombay.

CAREER

Sam Bombay has worked as the Regional Executive Creative Director in a marketing communications company VMLY&R. In 2016, Sam directed the music video of Gal Ban Gayi featuring Vidyut Jammwal and Urvashi Rautela. Apart from Gal Ban Gayi, Sam also directed Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in the music video of the song Befikra.

MARRIAGE WITH POONAM PANDEY

Poonam Pandey and Sam Bombay married in a private ceremony in Mumbai on September 10. Both shared pictures from their wedding on Instagram. While Poonam has retained the pictures on her account, Sam has deleted them.

In fact, Poonam’s name on her Instagram account reads, “Poonam Pandey Bombay”.

SAM BOMBAY’S ARREST

Sam Bombay was arrested on Tuesday after Poonam filed a complaint against him in Goa. “Poonam Pandey filed a complaint late Monday night claiming her husband Sam Bombay had molested her, and threatened her with dire consequences after assaulting her. He was arrested,” Inspector Tukaram Chavan of Canacona police station told news agency PTI.

Poonam Pandey has appeared in Kannada and Telugu movies such as Love Is Poison and Malini & Co. Amit Saxena’s 2013 film Nasha marked Poonam Pandey’s debut in Bollywood.
