MUMBAI: Lt colonel Prasad Purohit, accused in 2008 Malegaon blast case, filed a fresh plea in Bombay HC, seeking that charges against him be quashed. Purohit, doing his job as a military intelligence officer, was “framed”, his lawyer and former attorney-general Mukul Rohatgi told HC.
The plea said NIA did not seek sanction under CrPC to prosecute him though he was a serving army officer.
