Mumbai: Speeding car rams into people sitting on road near Crawford Market, around six injured – Times of India

MUMBAI: A speeding car rammed into people sitting on the road outside the Janta Restaurant near Crawford Market injuring around half a dozen people. There was no confirmation about the death of any injured person yet. The accident took place at around 9.15pm on Monday.
Rajiv Jain, zonal DCP, who reached the spot, said that all the injured persons were taken to JJ Hospital. “There was one person in the car who was driving it,” said Jain. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital.
Mohammed Haneef, a waiter at the Ranata Restaurant, who was standing on the footpath was injured in the accident. Another injured Nadeem Adeel Ansari, father of three, who supplies hair clip at different shops, had gone to bring food from the restaurant. “He also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital. He stays in a rented room in Bengalipura along with his family,” said Mubeen Ansari, Nadeem’s relative who had come to the hospital.
