Maharashtra: First retired police officer from Mumbai dies of Covid – Times of India

MUMBAI: A 58-year-old reserve police inspector (RPI), who retired from the Mumbai Police force in May, succumbed to Covid on Saturday. Prabhakar Pawar (58) retired after he was last posted at Local Arms division of the Mumbai Police.
He was undergoing treatment at Nair Hospital for Covid when he breathed last.
Pawar is the first retired police personnel to succumb from Mumbai.
Mumbai Police toll touched 59 and 124 in the state. Total 11,987 personnel were tested Covid till Friday, 9,643 recovered and 2,220 are undergoing treatment in the state.
