MUMBAI: Bombay high court on Tuesday suspended all hearings due to incessant rains in Mumbai.
The announcement was made by a court associate at the videoconference hearing of the bench headed by chief justice Dipankar Datta, which was to hear public interest litigation.
The high court also formally notified all advocates and parties appearing in person that due to acute shortage of staff due to heavy rains, the benches are unable to take up matters on their respective boards.” Judicial proceedings for the day, thus, stand suspended,” said the notice, jointly signed by the Prothonotary & Senior Master and the in-charge registrar (Judicial – I).
The notice also stated those matters on board today will be taken up on Wednesday.
