Mumbai: Dharavi reports 38 new COVID-19 cases; tally climbs up by to 1,621 – Mumbai Mirror

Mumbai: Dharavi reported 38 new coronavirus positive cases on Tuesday, taking the figures to 1,621.

No death was reported from Dharavi on Tuesday.

A senior Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said that the new cases were found in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Azad Nagar, New Municipal chawl , Shastri Nagar, Matunga labour camp and some other localities of Dharavi.

Meanwhile, 24 more COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Mahim area, taking the total number of positive cases in the area to 375. The new cases were found in Mahim Causeway, Mori Road among other localities of Mahim. The nearby Dadar reported six new cases, taking the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the area to 245.

Maharashtra reported a spike of 2,091 COVID-19 new cases and ninety-seven deaths on Tuesday . With this, the state has recorded 54,758 cases and 1,792 deaths so far. A total of 1,002 new cases were reported in Mumbai, taking its overall count to 32,791. Thirty-nine people succumbed to the infection in Mumbai today. Death toll has now gone up to 1,065 in the city.
