Restricted market time a problem: South Mumbai man to Bombay high court – Times of India

MUMBAI: The BMC on Tuesday told Bombay high court that its restriction on market timings in various wards of Mumbai is according to guidelines issued by the central and state governments.
Justice Riyaz Chagla heard a petition by advocate Prerak Choudhary, a Colaba resident, challenging the A-ward officer’s April 27 order, instructing the police to restrain timings of the Colaba market from 8am to 12pm. “Such order is creating more pressure on the market and further increasing crowds, leading to possibility of spreading the virus,” it said.
