Mumbai reports 635 new COVID-19 cases; overall tally at 9,758 – Mumbai Mirror

Mumbai on Tuesday reported 635 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the total count to 9,758 in the city.

As many as 26 more patients succumbed to the disease, taking the death toll to 387, according to BMC’s public health department.

However 2,128 people have recovered so far.

Out of 26 deaths (6 deaths between May 1 to May 2), 22 patients had co-morbidities. Among them, 16 patients were male and 10 female. 2 deaths were below 40 years and 11 deaths were above 60 years and 13 were between 40 to 60 years.

Thirty-three more persons tested positive for coronavirus in the slum-clusters of Dharavi in the city, taking the figures to 665 on Tuesday.

The total number of the novel coronavirus cases in India mounted to 46,711, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday. Out of the total cases, 31,967 are active cases, and 1,583 have succumbed to the disease. Maharashtra continued to top the chart with a total 14,541 cases, followed by Gujarat with 5,804 cases and Delhi with 4,898 cases.

Mumbai: Dharavi reports 33 new Covid-19 positive cases

Thirty-three more persons tested positive for coronavirus in the slum-clusters of Dharavi in the city, taking the figures to 665 on Tuesday. A senior Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said that no fresh casualty due to COVID-19 infection had been reported from Dharavi since Sunday.
