MUMBAI: The police are issuing essential service passes to those who want to travel out of the city for medical services or other emergencies like a death in the family, or if somebody is seriously ill.
The application can be made online on Covid19.mhpolice.in or personally at the police headquarters at Crawford market and would be decided within a day. A photo, documents supporting the travel and vehicle number will have to be shared, which will be verified.
“Once the pass is approved, one can download the passes online after we send an email. This pass is only valid within the state and only for emergency services,” said DCP Pranay Ashok. If somebody submits fake documents, strict legal action will be taken, Ashok warned.
