Man tests positive for Covid-19 in Navi Mumbai, fifth case in city – Times of India

NAVI MUMBAI: A fifth case of Covid-19 positive has been detected in Navi Mumbai. The 55-year-old man is the office bearer of a religious place. He was home quarantined last week as he was one of the 65 persons who had come in contact with the 68-year-old Filipino, who had visited the religious place and later succumbed to Covid-19 during treatment on Tuesday.
Dr Balasaheb Sonawane, the civic medical health officer said, “Three days ago, the home quarantined man, who is the office bearer of the religious place had developed symptoms of Covid-19 as he was coughing and had fever. As he informed the civic official, he was admitted to Kasturba hospital. On Tuesday his Covid-19 report came positive. Hence, his wife and married son too have been admitted to Kasturba hospital and their test report is awaited. Even if their report comes negative, they will be quarantined at Kasturba hospital for two weeks for observation.”
