Mumbai: 10 trinket snake babies sent into wild – Times of India

MUMBAI: Ten newly hatched common trinket snakes were released into the wild by animal activists recently, after carefully monitoring the eggs found in Dahisar last month.
“On February 1, activists of Plant and Animals Welfare Society had received a call from a local, Ritik Jaiswal, about a female trinket snake being spotted in Dahisar (east) and later 11 eggs being found. We rescued and released the snake and looked after the eggs, with the help of veterinarian Dr Manish Pingle,” said activist Sunish Subramanian of the NGO.
Ten eggs successfully hatched on March 8, and after consulting the forest officer Santosh Kank, the newly hatched snakes were released into the wild.
